Come join us for an evening filled with music, fun, great food, and community spirit at Pembroke Lodge! The Holly Lodge Centre is hosting its yearly musical extravaganza, showcasing exceptional talent and celebrating our musical roots. Whether you’re a jazz enthusiast, a blues buff, or just looking for a good time, this event is perfect for everyone. Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to enjoy live music in the beautiful surroundings of Richmond Park. See you there!

Live music, stunning setting… and supper to boot!

Following the sell-out of our previous hugely popular Musical Roots events, this year we’re organising a special Holly Lodge Centre 30th Anniversary programme.

As ever, this will be another exclusive night of spectacular blues, jazz, boogie-woogie and ragtime performed by a team of outstanding musicians, with the ever-charismatic Dana Gillespie returning to top the bill. This is particularly timely as Dana has recently become a patron of the Holly Lodge Centre, joining equally distinguished personnel such as Sir David Attenborough and HRH Princess Alexandra.

World Class Performers

Dana Gillespie, who has over 70 albums behind her, will be the evening’s hostess and headline event. Dana has enormous star quality. She was the first ever Mary Magdalene in the London stage production of Jesus Christ Superstar and has worked with celebrities such as David Bowie, Bob Dylan and Mick Jagger, to name but a few.

Dana will perform a riveting repertoire of songs, focusing on her uninhibited blues style, whilst recounting some of her famously raunchy tales. Her mesmerising voice, stage presence and great humour, which have thrilled audiences worldwide, are certainly experiences not to be missed.

Dino Baptiste is a blues pianist and vocalist extraordinaire with a highly infectious personality and true magic in his fingers. Dino has worked with many established musicians such as Jeff Beck and John Paul Jones, and alongside his perfect musical match, Dana Gillespie, for over twenty years.

Tyger Tyger is a highly accomplished trio of good-time jazz veterans with a repertoire ranging from the thirties to the sixties. A double bass, two guitars, three voices and lots of laughter just about sums them up.

Supper, wine and raffle

The evening will kick off with welcome drinks on Pembroke Lodge’s Belvedere Terrace, with its sweeping views over the Thames Valley to Windsor. This will be followed by almost two hours of thrilling live music performances, starting and ending with a bang.

During the interval, you can enjoy an excellent buffet supper with wine. In addition, the evening will include a raffle draw with a first-rate selection of excellent prizes provided by local enterprises.

Parking at Pembroke Lodge is free of charge and Richmond Park’s main gate will be kept open later than usual specifically for this event.
