Over the Easter break, we had a visit from a group of parents and children from Refugee Action Kingston. It was a beautiful and sunny day with a wonderful program of activities making the most of our Nature Trail and Pond. There is new life and growth everywhere at this time of year – we even spotted our first tadpoles of the season! The children were delighted by the family of Mallards and ducklings, as well as the chocolate eggs they discovered as part of their hunt at Camp Caterpillar. Astrid designed the workshop with these Spring sightings in mind and was supported by Lindsey and our marvellous volunteer team of Stella and Carole.
Sharing some of the wonderful feedback we received from Pippa Hogg, who organized the outing on behalf of the group:
I just wanted to say a huge thank you for all that you did to make our visit yesterday so fantastic and so memorable. I know the weather was lovely but we were all blown away by the activities that you organised and the wonderful setting. There were so many wow moments and the children and parents had a super time. It was very telling that no one wanted to come home! I have had lots of thank yous from the parents too. We really do appreciate your time and the funding that you put in place for the activities.
Please say an enormous thank you to your team, Alex, Lindsey, Stella and Carole for being so welcoming and supportive.
